Temporary alternate sectional delegate
The RFS is currently filling sectional alternate delegate vacancies. These vacancies are filled by a temporary appointment of RFS members who will be present at the 2024 Annual Meeting, June 7–12, Hyatt Regency Chicago and 2024 Interim Meeting, Nov. 9–12, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, Orlando, Florida, at the discretion of the RFS delegate and alternate delegate.

RFS Governing Council
The governing council members are responsible for directing the programs and activities of the section. Terms are one year, June 2024-June 2025. Available positions include:
- Vice chair
- Speaker
- Vice-speaker
- Delegate
- Alternate delegate
- Member-at-large
Elected governing council members will be expected to attend the following meetings:
- Section leadership retreat—Chicago, Illinois, Aug. 10-11, 2024.
- 2024 Interim—Orlando, Florida. All governing council members must attend Nov. 8, 2024. The chair, section delegate, and section alternate delegate must attend Nov. 7-12, 2024.
- 2025 Annual—Chicago, Illinois. All governing council members must attend June 6, 2025. The chair, section delegate and section alternate delegate must attend June 5-11, 2025.
In addition, members will be expected to dedicate two hours per month, on average, for conference calls and other meetings as required.

RFS delegates and alternate delegates
Each state and specialty society represented in the HOD may select one delegate and alternate per 100 AMA resident and fellow members to advocate on issues that are of interest to your society and vote on key issues.
