National Health Equity Grand Rounds: Creating Accountability Through Data

The AMA’s National Health Equity Grand Rounds is a virtual quarterly series that looks to deepen understanding and shape the national discourse around health inequities and opportunities to improve the health of our nation.

The event on Oct. 10, 2023, will invite participants to reevaluate how they think about data on race and ethnicity. The discussion will examine the ways race data impacts our institutions and health care systems, shapes priorities and determines how resources get to the communities they serve.

Speakers will uncover the failures and harms in our approaches to collecting, analyzing, reporting and leveraging race, ethnicity and other key demographic data in public health and health care.
